The MarketShare product family has been designed from the
ground up based on leading enterprise software technologies and open
standards. The MarketShare Platform and applications are designed and
tested for enterprise-wide scalability and performance.
Open Standards Based The MarketShare Platform is a 100% Java solution built using open standards (J2EE, XML, XSL, JSP, etc) and de-facto industry standard products such as the BEA Weblogic application server, Oracle, and MS SQL server. This enables easy interaction between the platform and application developers/external systems. Platform Independent The MarketShare Platform is system independent and thus is capable of running on Windows server platforms (NT, 2000, XP) and popular UNIX platforms like Sun Solaris. Scalable / Fault Tolerant The Platform is designed, when needed, to leverage the clustering and fail-over capabilities provided by J2EE application servers. This will enable easy scaling to a large number of users and also minimizes downtime. Workflow Engine The Platform includes a powerful workflow engine capable of modeling both simple and complex processes in various areas of product planning, management, and marketing. The workflow includes powerful visual tools for organizations to customize and monitor processes across various aspects of product planning and management. Analytics / Reporting Engine The ability to analyze various types of data collected during the product planning and management process is critical to coming up with an optimal plan. The MarketShare Platform provides a configurable and extensible analytical and reporting engine to enable product managers, planners, and marketers to accomplish this task. The Platform also makes use of a Natural Language Processing engine to automate some of the analysis. External Data Integration The MarketShare Platform has been designed to support enterprise integration. The Platform is capable of interfacing with other CRM system, directory services such as LDAP, and other legacy systems through the use of data adapters. In addition to full integration there are flexible facilities for importing and exporting data. System Security The MarketShare security system is designed to protect valuable data and provide a highly configurable authentication model. At the heart of the MarketShare security system is a sophisticated, role-based access control system at the object level. This means that each user can be given access to specific objects and nothing more. Support for Localization The Platform and applications can be localized to any language such as German, French, Japanese, Korean, etc. The XML schemas, the Java code, and the data store fully support the storage and retrieval data encoded in different character sets. |
